SEISMIC STUDIES

California State University System, Proposed Concord Campus, Contra Costa County, California

One of our professional staff worked on this 640-acre site, including detailed geologic mapping and seismic analysis for the proposed campus site (since constructed).

Westlake High School, City of Thousand Oaks, Los Angeles County, California

One of our professional staff worked on this 35-acre new high school campus, including all preliminary studies for siting the school, building placement, and geotechnical supervision of grading and site development. Some structures were on deep caisson foundations, others had slab-on-grade foundation systems. He conducted seismic analysis for input into building design.

U.C. Irvine Housing Units, Orange County, California

One of our professional staff supervised excavation and remedial grading for siting of several student housing units. He also conducted seismic analysis of the nearby potentially active Pelican Hill fault and the active Newport-Inglewood fault system offshore to the west.

Geologic Mapping, California

One of our professional staff conducted geologic mapping for the Wildomar Fault, Sierra Madre Fault, Whittier Fault, Sylmar Fault, Santa Susana Fault, Raymond Fault, Cucamonga Fault, San Andreas Fault, San Jacinto Fault, Chino Fault, Whittier/Workman Hill Fault Juncture, Malibu Coastal Fault, and Newport-Inglewood Fault.

Geologic and Seismic Elements of the Chino Hills Specific Plan, for the County of San Bernardino, California

One of our professional staff worked on this 18,000-acre study area, including geologic mapping, geologic hazards identification, fault trenching and seismic potential analysis of the Chino Fault, and design of a fault setback zone for planning purposes.

Geologic and Seismic Elements of the Laguna Canyon/Laurel Canyon Specific Plan, Orange County, California

One of our professional staff worked in this 2,300-acre study area, including geologic mapping and fault trenching and seismic potential analysis of potentially active fault traces in the upper Laguna Canyon area. The alignment of the future San Joaquin Hills Transportation Corridor crossed the fault traces investigated.

Regional Seismic Studies

One of our professional staff completed Seismic Elements for land-use planning, including the Bommer/Shady Canyon areas, Irvine Ranch, Orange County, California (1,800 acres), the Stallion Springs area, Kern County, California (10,000 acres), the Santa Barbara Municipal Airport Expansion, Santa Barbara County, California (400 acres), the City of Whittier Hillside Area Plan, Los Angeles County, California (1,500 acres), the Peter's Canyon area, Irvine Ranch, Orange County, California (2,500 acres), the California State University System, Concord Campus, Contra Costa County, California (500 ACRES), the Rancho Mission Viejo, San Clemente Annexation Area, Orange County, California (3,500 acres), the Tri-Cities Airport Redevelopment, San Bernardino County, California (650 acres), the Green Valley Highlands Project Area, Poway, San Diego County, California (250 acres), and the City of La Verne Hillside Area Plan Study, San Bernardino County, California (1,000 acres).
